Front Page and Info on My Soaps

The other day my Warm Vanilla Sugar Scrub Bars made it to the front page on etsy. Very exciting! If only I could get exposure like that every day! I checked my google analytics account and saw that I had 400 visitors that day, and since then only 20-30 a day. I think one of the most difficult things is trying to figure out how to drive more traffic to your store.

I've been making many small batches of cold process soap. Cold process soap is handmade from scratch using distilled water, lye and vegetable oils. I use coconut oil, olive oil, and canola oil and also cocoa butter. "you put lye in your soap?!?" Yes, all soap is made through a process called saponification, lye water is mixed with some sort of fat and mixed, and mixed, and mixed. By the time saponification is finished you have super gentle soap and no lye remains in the soap. So if you are looking at my materials list, I will have lye listed because I use that to make the soap, but your soap will actually have NO LYE in it. I also personally test all of my batches of soap (and on a few family members as well!)

Currently I have many batches of Vegan-friendly cold process soap for sale in my soap or curing. No animal products were used in these soaps. I also have a soy-based Vegan friendly lip balm in my store. If you see a lip balm in one of my other flavors that you would like in a Vegan friendly form, just let me know, I would be happy to make it for you.

Curing: Currently I have curing these soaps; Strawberry Musk, Pineapple Cilantro, Budweiser Beer Soap with a hint of Coconut and Lime, French Vanilla and Oak, Patchouli, Oatmeal, Milk, and Honey (does not contain milk or honey...) I let all of my soaps cure for about 4-6 weeks. What this does is lets the water evaporate from the bars of soap and you will end up with a nice hard bar of soap that will last longer, lather better and be milder.
I will also be making some dye free, fragrance free CP soap this week for those with super sensitive skin. Make sure you check back to my store, http://LOLsoaps.etsy.com !!!
